Still an unreliable reference for creating a model to start reading that mind.....

I tried placing both Thorens turntables onto soft padding (TD 160 Super/TD 165) both make the speakers move around due to that low frequency rumble that I can't hear, but volume range is reasonable and I can listen at a reasonable level without the speakers moving too much. There is no feedback or humming, never has been from either of the Thorens. Must be a vinyl thing and these speakers must pick up much more detail in the low frequencies. The old speakers would do the same. Enjoying those sounds, every album is a surprise now :toothy10:

Here is a spare Mid range it's an original JBL LE5-10 which has been repaired. Also pictured are the original caps from the crossover(s) before they were upgraded with clarity caps.

Looks good, Derek. Speaker selection can make the biggest difference in a sound system.

Absolutely! I reckon it's where it all starts.
Good speakers will make any ol' shitty amp sound a whole lot better. (for a while at least.)
I guess that's why I've got so many.
Then upgrading your amps is the next step.

I've just finally got around to plugging in my JansZen Z900's (2x 12" with 4x Electrostatic panels for the mid/highs per box), after finding a missing power lead that's been lost for over 2 years. (found it whilst STILL looking for that elusive cassette door for you D2....)

Anyway, here they are at the bottom.....

That works for girlfriends and bad backs, I'd reckon.
