I've read through this thread about 3 or 4 times I can't find anything offensive in it.

TDO you gotta figure if you air your dirty laundry and some of your rookie mistakes that somebody might poke good natured fun at it. Either dont give us all the details or don't take the humor personally. Its kind unreasonable to think that everyone around here is going to be walking on eggshells. You just have to ignore the samell stuff.

Use all the gear you have worked on as a learning experiences whether the outcome was good or bad. All of us have fried gear in our attempts to fix things. Certainly nothing to lose sleep over.

My Drama 924 receiver has a flaky on/off switch. It is stuck ON. Will some Phoenix GAP (Grow A Pair) cleaner work on this? I'm so upset. Could you move this thread to the "Don't Crap On My Thread" section?
Thank you.

P.S. .....We really are a lovin' bunch. If you require strict rules maybe you're in the wrong place :angel3:.
A little humility goes a LONG way here. I'm just trying to say that if you are asking for help, you should accept it graciously. Phoenix doesn't exist for the benefit of a select few, it is here for everyone to enjoy. Take some and leave some. Give and take. Be cool. But don't come here with attitude, because (and I'm speaking for myself here) all that will get you is a big serving of ice.
One time I was with a great friend, and I was complaining about how badly I was being treated in a certain situation. He leaned over to me and blew cigar smoke in my face...and said, "You're not so fuc$@n' important".
I learned a lot that day.

Sorry folks, I was not having my day. If I lose just a minute of sleep, I am finicky throughout the entire day... :sad8:

Anyways, the seller needs to get it shipped, but he has a busy job, and needs to race to the PO everytime, only to come late.
Don't pull out the alarms just yet, I am patient enough, plus I found the guy online so I can perhaps visit him in the holidays if he doesn't ship it at all :evil4:

I had a similar ah ha moment, only it wasn't one instant. The summer of '74. I was 18. I hitch-hiked solo from the west to the east coast of Canada. I had relatives along the way so I bummed a place to stay and fuel up at. Standing at the side of the road bumming a ride quickly lets you know how important you are in the grand scheme of things. Now, I might not recommend this now, at the time it was ok. Some good memories! Later in life, when I ran into people who were all into themselves, I thought "There's someone who never hitch-hiked."
