The last TV we had I used the RCA audio out to the receiver for watching in stereo that sounded good.
My new TV does not have any analog outs , just HDMI and USB .
Seen adapters available but they seem to be primarily for video.
I assume the HDMI audio is in digital form so I would need to convert to analog.
My Blu Ray player is also digital only.
Has anybody had good luck doing this ?
I will be using my LG TV into a Pioneer SX 1250.

Was reading the manuals for that unit and my TV.
Unfortunately they are not compatible.
I will look at Bluetooth to Analog RCA adapters.
I hate trying to mix old and new.

Interesting that an inline HDMI audio extractor wouldn't work. I have one that I used with a projector for many years, kinda flaky but it did the trick. Does the TV have a digital out? HDMI ARC? I switched back to a direct view TV and am using its optical digital audio out and a DAC (basically)

No digital out.
Only has a USB for storage and 3 HDMI ports.
And they are all in use.
Cable box ,Bluray and X Box.
Two different versions of ARC that are not compatible. :(
It does audio out through Bluetooth only .

Yup , thats what I am researching now.
Digital formats can be frustrating at times because of incompatibility issues.
Learned that lesson the hard way when I chose FLAC as my choice of music formats.

Try getting photo files - important ones, nonetheless - off of old Kodak Pro Photo CDs with new computers these days. Still digging around in that rabbit hole...

Oooof glad I'm not shopping for a TV right now

Thats what got me into computers in the first place.
Friend showed me what he could do to old photos in Photoshop.
Been hooked ever since, still play around with restoring B&W Polaroids.
Went against the stream there too,I work in PNG.:)

Been doing a little research on BT to analog.
See the Auris MD mentioned a few times.
A $50 Logitech looks like it might work but the Auris while more expensive ($100-150) seems to be a good unit also.
Anybody have any dealings with Auris products ?

I have a Logitech and Philips BTs and they are been working for the past 10/12 years .
Ciao
Marco

Ths morning I was in a shopping center and for my curiosity I took a look to TVs .
All models I saw ( approx 20 / 30 ) have digital out except one LG unit .
Brands : Sony , Samsung , LG , Hisense and Peak .
Some models have AV input ,too .
Good for the future and if you a VCR .
Ciao

Seems I always pick the oddball ones.
Oh well , mine does have a great picture.

Anybody have experience with Audioengine products ?
See they have a B1 listed that will do what I want .
Not cheap but I don't mind paying for quality .
