Gasoline prices Skyrocketing!

Gas down to $2.55 here; prediction is things will hold steady through the holidays. Might get down to the Keys on $3 per gallon average, who knows? Things will be more interesting on the way back but I'm hoping to get there and back on less than a grand in gas. Sure don't want that cutting into the liquid entertainment budget.

Northeastern Pennsylvania diesel price today $5.54 a gallon. Ouch but it was close to $7/gal a few months ago.
wow....
when the price drops....and it usually does in the u.s.
people are so thankful....that they forget 5+ per gallon is cheap....
time and time again....
that price has been consistant since i moved here in 07....
it is state regulated....and that price is nationwide...
price is dictated....
the government tries to keep it down ....
but, of course no one has cheaper gas than the u.s..
except maybe opec nations...

5+ IS NOT CHEAP....SORRY....FORGOT THE NOT...

It's all how you grow up and what you're used to. US has always had cheaper gas prices compared to the rest of the world, but we are sitting on a plethora of oil and natural gas reserves. Now that they're not tapping them like they were and they are being regulated more than they were before, we're not used to these high prices.

Talk about all over the place in price, some places at little more than $2.50/gallon and California at mega bucks per gallon. It doesn't make sense, because we are sitting on a lot of oil, and not to get political, but we might as well tap what we have, because getting it from other places in the world… they may not be as friendly to the environment as the US is. But that's what we're doing, and that's why it's all over the place in my opinion.
