Was looking at those transformers today, not sure 350/0/350 is correct? I’m getting ~290vac from the good winding no load/diodes lifted. Won’t 350/350 be too spicy? The filament winding is 6.3vac and good. The schematic specifies 515vdc after the diodes...

So the schematic that was posted shows 515vdc at point A. If this is correct, then the transformer would be 515*0.707 = 364 vac (assuming no load). I think the 350/0/350 would be just fine as tubes will work over a wide spread. However that first cap is shown with a working voltage of just 350vdc - way too low if indeed the voltage after the diodes was/is 515vdc. That cap's working voltage is too low if the transformer puts out 290vac, which would give about 410vdc across that cap.

290 no load, my field of knowledge is more based toward mechanical engineering, I knew there must be math to fix this

Back working at this amp. Got the transformer hooked up and checking voltages.
A 448vdc
B 368vdc
C 344vdc

transformer secondary voltage is 300/0/300 and the dropping resistor values are in tolerance to the schematic. I do have new 450v filter caps which I haven’t installed yet but she has some hum. Those DC voltages don’t seem right though. The 350/0/350 would be even worse...

The amp is on, tubes hot, measurements were taken with no input signal though. The amp works, I plugged my Ricky into it, sounds normal now... didn’t crank it or take any other measurements. Should I be checking bias on the tubes or any current measurements? Seems guys check that shit working on tubes. I’m a t00b n00b...
