The "baffle" (tire sidewall) is not very stiff, so I'd suspect smeared bass from them.

It's just not going to reproduce above a certain frequency. I guess a filter would keep HF out of it but other than some voice coil heat I don't think it would be a problem for that big speaker..
A tweeter, on the other hand, for sure needs protection. But that can be an incandescent light bulb...
Look, I think we can all agree that that tire is in fantastic condition, so it stands to reason that the sound coming from it is going to be great.
