What to say? We all need to EQ, no room or system is what we aspire to
I rarely needed one in my almost perfect room with the Martin Logans, just a 'smidge' of adjustment on the edges of frequencies. A parametric is so more of your friend in this situation. That SAE 2800 is just 'tits'!! I had the SAE E202 Computer-Direct-Line Parametric EQ and it had virtually no noise, still have the baby 1800 para EQ and it is a bit less quiet (those damn sliders are a poor design).
I love the Yamaha variable loudness control, it's a parametric that just works for everyday situations
