Thought I would slip this in while we are waiting on parts for Ben's and before I start Michele's project. Warranty work goes to the head of the line anyhow. At least that's how I think it should be anyway...

Already done Doug, solder splash on the backplanes. The new speaker posts will take the most time. The DC protect is soldered on the posts. Gonna take some powerful solder suckin....

Amen, the worlds best solder made short work of the speaker posts. Got the DC protect off, now have to open the holes in the DC protect board and the chassis...to accept the new speaker posts. The RCA jacks you sent wont work. I have some new factory silver jacks I'm gonna use. The RCA jacks you sent have a smaller shoulder and the shoulder washer is sloppy in the factory hole....

Lee what size are those posts? I have some 30 amp #10 I could use if the board can take opening the holes up to #10 holes. Don did not recommend drilling his 700 boards.

I know he doesn't recommend it But I've done it twice with no I'll affects. I drilled these out to .193

They are through plated with 2 of the 4 holes making connection on the bottom and 2 on the top. Just be real careful about pushing through and have a sharp bit. I wouldn't recommend much over .210, after that the traces are pretty thin on the sides...

Had to make a D shaft out of a round one. Takes about 5 minutes with a Dremel and a small cut off blade used as a grinding wheel....then a small drum sander to clean it up....

Switch in, wires run. You'll notice the AC hugs the bottom of the faceplate then hugs the side of the chassis to the fuse holder....NICE!! it'll go on the AP for a complete test and then on the horns...

Powers up just fine with DC relay click in a couple seconds, no sweat there. Now we get to see what she'll do...

On the AP.......preliminary noise spec....220 microvlts...EXCELLENT JER!!!
