Yeah, I got the new chassis too.... It was sitting off screen.

You know, I never saw a completed 700B I don't believe..... What happens to the knobs on the front panel? I didn't get the knobs with the first chassis Ron sent.

And I don't have a capacitor hold down for the new caps.

I got a bunch of documentation email to me from Joe but it included some 400 stuff and I really didn't see anything for the Rev E 14_20 board build. I see some release notes and the schematic but not much else.

None of these amps have any knobs Perry except little aftermarket black ones that Hadley Sound installed. Any knobs that came with the purchase went to Lee when I mailed him all the extra parts, knobs, rack handles, meters, extra meter register plates, bezels, extra control boards etc...

They drilled all the faceplates and moved all the fuses to the front and the holes for the various knobs are now occupied by fuse holders

The black plastic snap in hole covers look stellar on these amps but if you want knobs, you have to contact Lee, he has the originals

Can anybody post a pic with a new wopl 1000 with no knobs/buttons?

Guess I should have asked these questions before I started.

I think most people just have dummy knobs installed Perry. Folks are waiting for the WOPL faceplates Joe (or Skratch) is commissioning for the new amp chassis and they supposedly eliminate most of the holes?

The BOM'S list the components for each version of the build. They also have a "do not populate" list at the end pages for each version. The 400 and 700 documentation is sent as a set and you have scroll through to get to the correct version. On Joe's standard document package you need pages 8 thru 11 for the 700 Rev E full comp build. FWIW, there is no difference in a driver board build for a 400 or 700.

so your amp is ON 100% of the time?
Jer drilled a hole in my 400 faceplate for a lighted power switch. 400s do not have power switches

EDIT: Most of us use power/surge strips/conditioners to turn on our amps, I hope you will be also for extra protection against crappy house voltage or spikes

My BOM only has 10 pages.

Any of you guru's know what amperage of switch I would need for main power if I put a lighted one on the front panel?

Ron, where did you source the plugs for your open holes..... Huh, I said holes......

I'd like to find a heavy duty round blue rocker switch for power

Finished populating the 14_20 board this evening. Took about 6 hours including cleaning. Backplane boards are on my list for tomorrow.

I have some kicking around here somewhere Perry, I will find them and take an image, not sure what they are called but they do the job nicely. Nice stomping out the control board in 6hrs. I would still be looking at the packages after 6 hours and saying to myself WTF have I got myself into LMAO!!!

I'll post some pics in the am. I'm laying in bed watching tube. It's been a long week waiting for parts and scratching my ads trying to figure out where to start. I think I have direction now. Maybe.........
