docdan's Phase Linear 400 White Oak Conversion

First Impressions---MY GOD!! Haven't had a 400 rattle my teeth till now!! The K's are eatin this up!! Bass response is WAYYY UPP> Be interesting to get this on the AP.

TIGHT BASS!!.....118DB at 10:30 on the pre-amp......I'm gonna have to get Timdalf over here and see if I'm hearing things...

DanIgor I have gotten shipments so fast this week I can't get shit put away fast enough...
 
I had the Pig plugged in for a week to a 14 gauge extension cord 50 feet long........DanIgors little BassMaster is plugged into the rack power supply. Makes a difference. NICE F^%$&^^%% AMP.....Dan you're gonna love this 400. Whatcha got for speaks??
 
DanIgor, a complete test suite will be run later tonight and Jani will bind it up in a nice little booklet......waiting on the new light board from Joe then I'll finish it up and get it headed back to you. I'm thinkin by Monday It'll be outta here...

LMFAO !!!!!! I cant believe you said that Dan !!!!! He dont move around in there... His chair moves form work bench to computer desk !!!! When he wants something from the other side of the room he uses a fising pole.... He a hell of a fly fisherman ya know !!!!

OK.... I'M SORRY !!!! I will admit Dan that when I was there I walked all over that room... when ya work on all the stuff Lee does you can't have enough room !!!!
 
Dan, that's some VERY nice equipment ya got there. What is it?? My phone does the same thing....

Timdalf just left, he said " What ever you did to that one do to mine " he has not heard bass out of a 400 like this one either.

Damn sounds like I need to save my money and either get Bertha reworked or get a diff one and give it the treatment.
 
I'm going to hazard a guess this litle 400 will make that Audio research cry in shame.....these 400's have a very large soundstage after conversion...nice equip[ment Dan...high dollar?
 
Many years of buying and selling and gradually working up. I had a 400 many years ago and liked it but it kept blowing up. I had the chance to buy this one at a good price then started looking for ways to keep it safe as well as my speakers hence the WOPL.
