I've got a Denon AVR-3000 That I use the amp side of in my beedroom... I bought it new in about 90 i would guess.. At the time it was the biggest surround reciever I could find and was about 3 grand... That thing has been tough as nails.. Ive had it everywhere and It's never missed a beat.. Its got those horse shoe pins in the back of it you can pull out and just use the amp part of it... Denon makes some pretty darn good stuff in my book.... But.... Aint many people read my book ! :sad8:

Me and lee still don't get our phone pics right lol. They might be upside down or sideways. I know after I hit the submit button lol. I'm officially part of the dumb hillbilly movement when it comes to phones and computers lol

Has anybody heard or had a carver c4000 pre??? I can get one for 200$ but is it better than this 3600 I wonder?
The 4000 is the 'ugly stepchild' Carver...I learned why and we all want to emphasize you'd likely be wasting time and money on it.

No, the 3600 is better.

Looking at this old post I have realized that Carver C4000 is considered "ugly " .
Why ? I have this preamp and I consider it a great preamp for its special functions :
auto correlator , peak unlimiter , sonic hologram and delay time time unit .
I have to admit that the adjustements are not easy , but the results I have obtained are
great . ( for me of course ).
From electrical point of view is a normal preamp based on TL 084 .
Ciao
