Dazen’s Digest

An antiquity (from Africa perhaps)? A sculpture? A marital aid? A movie prop?

Something else?

You decide.

Coconut Audio ("Your Audio Journey Ends Here" - yeah, right) is run by a crazy Swede who called himself Patrick83, and managed to get himself banned from Head-Fi. Oh, did I mention that he's crazy? At his prices, it's more crazy like a fox.

Lee,

I don't hope my latest post in this thread is assiocated with Sep, but a long story short: No news from Sep yet.

Damn...he's had enough time to subdue the Russians by now.

Western Electric, where were you when we needed one?

Video Killed the Radio Star

Does anyone remember CDV?

I found some old photos of a couple of discs that I once owned. From memory, the gold surface colour was indeed vivid and the sound quality of the audio was really rather good too.

The two examples below were bought for pennies (literally) around ten years ago. I sold them and a handful of other titles a little while back. At one point, those New Order CDVs were selling for £50.

LaserDisc players never really took off over here in the same way that they did in the US. I didn't get a chance to watch the video content on any of my discs. It is nonetheless, an interesting format, albeit mostly forgotten today.

Cool, Daren. I'm no stranger to CDV or laserdisc. I have my Pioneer laserdisc player connected to my AV entertainment system. I watch the odd movie and music concert on LD, but I'm not sure where I stashed the CDVs.

That's big price #s for CDVs in demand.

Glad I still have some of the first edition from 1981:
