I liked the blue also except for it blacking out the red zone range. That's why I asked Jer to do the cool white and now I am glad I did. It looks so classy with the cool white

I was thinking the white myself too for that same reason Ron. The blue tends to black out the red line. White is a shade blue if you consider its not the amber incandescents. So its all an improvement. My other two are blue. But this one won't be with them. So matching isnt necesarily an issue. Hmmmmmm maybe we need to make up some new multi-toned Led's that can change color with the customers preference so it matches their systems? That'd be neat if there were such a beast. A tiny dip switch on Joes board could alter the color or something? Hey crazier ideas have happened?

I decided to go with the white for this particular 700B. I sent Joe an order for one today. It took a while but since it will be a stand alone amp with other components that do not have blue in them; I went with the clear white to see those wonderful meters.

The clear white is a great choice. The audition 700B can definitely use them, these are so dim that it's hard to see them LOL

I thought the audition HAD a new 6-LED board in it? It has a 4-LED? Or original board?

I also sent in payment for the new bulk caps from the group buy. I will have a big piece of the upgrade puzzle in my possession at least when I am ready to go all out. Did you take part in the buy Ron? I can't remember............

Well here it is in white. Just for anyone who is trying to make that decision. She's just a spare right now. But a beauty to behold none the less. I'm trying to figure out a way to make my surround sound receiver, and my PL play nice. My speakers have dual binding posts. I could hook up both amps, but only one would be on at a time. I just wonder what that would do to some sort of "backfeed voltage" from amp #1 into the speakers, then back to amp #2? I'm not very smart on how this part works. I'd like to run just 2-channel with the PL and surround sound with the receiver, but only have the 4-speakers hooked up accordingly. That'd be nice. Anyway...........till I can assemble the new audio stand; this third PL700B still remains untested since I got it. Insights and thoughts would be appreciated?

If you have Don's DCP, if the WOPL is powered down, there is no connection to the electronics via the speaker posts...

Is that the only 2 colors white and blue?? What about a fire red
Any color you want that we can mount.....we just order the light board with no LED's mounted and mount the one's of your choice. The dispersion is the biggie, all colors (I think) can not be had in the wide dispersion model.
fitz 43 has a 700 with Amber LED's and looks very cooooooollllll !@!

Okay. So I have a question. I hooked up the third PL700B today and it does indeed work. Now the question is...........can I use it in conjunction with another receiver/amp?

What I want to do is this: I want to use the multi-channel amp for my movies, and the PL for strictly 2-channel hi-fi. How my set up is, is that I have the OPPO BDP-105, hooked up both analog to the PL, and HDMI to the surround receiver. I can use the volume up/down on the oppo as a pre. So its easy enough. The iffiy-ness I have, is there are two sets of binding posts on the speakers. And those sets have little gold strips that bridge both sets together. Positive to positive and negative to negative, on the outside. I ohmed them out and found when I take OFF the gold terminal strips, there is NO continuity between the two sets of speaker binding posts. Fair enough. I figured "PL in one set, surround in the other." However, I found without the bridges in place, the speakers did not work properly or at all. So I put them back. All was well. BUT, that begs the question; if I hook both amps to the speakers with the bridges there; am I causing a back-feed of amplified line voltage from the PL Amp at the speaker posts, then back into the surround receiver? Seems to me it's like running an amps out, to another amps outs. Both trying to pass amplified signal at the same time, or one pushing it into the other. Is this a cause for concern? Or not at all. OR..............am I ok as long as ONE of the amps is only on at a time? I may have asked this question before, but forgot when...........

Below I just finished quickly assembling the small area upstairs for where the lady will be enjoying her netflix. I still have some wire routing left to do. But notice the PL amp and the surround amp above it. i want these guys to play nice and share the speakers together.

DO NOT run both amps in the same speaks at the same time. If you do not have a DC ptotect which disconnects the electronics you will effectively have a double Zoebel network. Don't know about the other amp but it's not good for the PL....

Thankfully never did it. Let the second speaker wire pair sit aside the speaks till I got a clear answer. Didn't want to blow shiznit up! Good thing I waited. Well that's a bummer. Owell. I guess the guy is just a paperweight for now. I just wanted to find a clear use for the guy. I am bi-amped on B's downstairs. But upstairs is the surround sound room. So unless I get a fourth B; I can't run pre-out's from the receiver to the speaks. Thanks for the help!
