I thought it was a Polish site but some of the words are Hungarian. I don't think there is any ruski screwing going on with the site. I have been a user/member for over 12 years.

Nice work on this amp. I'd be happy to try one out.
 
I have two Crown COM-TECH 200 rack amplifiers that were advertised as needing some help. I think I have the schematic somewhere. I wonder how worthwhile it would be to bring them back to working condition?
 
Just seen this thread. There us a guy in the next town who uses a tube preamp with one. It sounded good but I am sorry that is one fugly amp. I don't think people be giving their WOPLs up for one, it didn't sound that good compared to Sabbitha which was hooked up to his big JBLs also for a comparison but man lots of clean power. Don't play a record because those dynamic lights go crazy with a pop. So your love affair with SAE is over Perry? How have you been? Me I can see with one of my eyes now!! Cornea transplant!!

Yeah, I wouldn't trade off my WOPL's for one. I rebuilt that Crown and it sounded pretty good. I got it for free, spent a couple hundred rebuilding it and got $2500 for it. You can flip the switch and turn off the display so the lights don't split your wig..... SAE?? Wow, I haven't thought about them for a while. I like BIG amps and that is one of them but I was just playing around and trying to stay out of trouble. No Love affair though. I did WAY MORE Carvers than anything (besides WOPL's).

I'm doing good. Slinging all those amps around for the last 10 years didn't help my arthritis any. I'm sure I'll be sore later after moving 2 sets of speakers and the rest of my gear. It was clogging up my work area so I set it up in the laundry room as my Family Room is still in work and after remodeling for a couple years, My other arm is ready to fall out of it's socket like my other one did, Glad they got one of your peepers fixed, when will they fix the other one???

I don't think the Crown is an ugly amp. If they are taken care of and maintained, they look better than the first gen 700 or the OVERATED Mac amps. Plus, they were tools and not really a pretty home amp.
