You may have dissimilar metal corrosion or just oxidation. Why are you using D-5 and D-100? D-5 is a 5% solution. And D-100 is a 100% solution. I'm just wondering. The D-100 should be all you need and not much of it for sure. I pray there is no benzene or sulfuric acid in your components. I'm not trying to be a smart allelic at all. I just see words I have never seen before and I wonder. So I look them up. It does expand my vocabulary to which I'm thankful. Keep using the big words please.
W hat happens in a pot is not simply corrosion, lots of other suff involved there. Exactly whatI don't know, but I will.

Galvanic corrosion? When two dissimilar metals are in contact with each other..Just add a little moisture.laatsch55 said:Iknow that. Sulphonation in the classic sense doesn't apply but it's similiar enough to get an idea. It's like corrosion and eletrolysis combined.
Thats not quite what I meant. He just isn't a computer savvy person and feels intimedated by the keyboard. That' just it Dave, no confrontation here, and if there is it won't last long
Lee about the brittleness. I have rewired houses built in the 20s and 30s. The copper was still soft. The big words sort of hard for me to spell. So I will leave that part alone.
