Six arrested, one dead who was the subject of an FBI probable cause warrant, one other from Arizona was arrested separately, possibly the DUI I heard about in Hines earlier who threatened to kill the police if they didn't let him go (yeah, that will happen)?

http://www.opb.org/news/series/burn...-militia-news-updates/lockdown-harney-county/

Both Bundy brothers are reported in custody with one of the living in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There are still protesters at the compound and they are understandably confused, how long before they too are in custody could only be speculated but there are no reports of actions at the wildlife refuge at the moment.

The identity of the deceased militant is being withheld by authorities pending full identification and notification of relatives and other law enforcement, Another individual was arrested about an hour later, not who I though, another Arizonan.

Cincinnati, OH talk radio show host Pete Santilli, self-styled chronicler or the standoff via live streaming on You Tube has also been arrested on the same charges as the others, felony conspiracy to interfere with the duties of a federal officer...

These charges are said to carry a maximum sentence of six years. Other charges are not fully known at this time and may be added.

However, according to a Harney County judge who was interviewed by OPB News, state police and FBI officers had planned to set up a roadblock for the Bundys when they planned to appear at a meeting in John Day and that is when the confrontation occurred. No word is available as to who shot first.

There is no word about the situation at the wildlife refuge and Santilli's live streaming was apparently terminated. There is also no word as to any other members' attempts to leave or if other roads have been blocked. The militants used the federal government's equipment to build a barricade at the entrance previously and also removed existing fencing, build at least one access road.

I wonder if daddy is next. There are statements on the Facebook page saying stuff to the effect that the deceased militant will not go quietly, etc.

Somebody put too much cuckoo in their Coco Puffs.

Reports are now starting to come in that Finnicum was the one killed.

I'm not sure what battle they had to choose at this point. It was stupid and messianic of them to believe they could just travel without hindrance.

So many of Ammon's crew were tied heavily to Cliven's escapade that I'm waiting to hear of his arrest as well. He just has to be mixed up in it.

FROM OPB.ORG: UPDATE: (8:55 p.m.) Jon Eric Ritzheimer, 32, was arrested by the FBI in Arizona Tuesday night on a federal charge related to the Malheur Refuge occupation. The FBI announced that Ritzheimer turned himself into the Peoria, Arizona, police department without incident.

Ritzheimer, like the other occupants arrested in Oregon Tuesday night, face one federal felony charge of conspiracy to impede officers of the United States from discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 372.

It MAY be over...

OPB reports that the road block is now gone and they are en route to the refuge. One person may remain but the light towers the FBI had placed there for observation have been removed.

Vehicle traffic to AND from the refuge site has been numerous and frequent.

A medical vehicle was seen in that convoy...maybe someone harmed themself or worse.

There could be a casualty or a fatality, my guess.

Current reports indicate that the remaining four (or five?) militants are still at the refuge and the standoff is not over but the roadblock was removed to allow local residents' traffic to resume.

One person did leave, it's not known who but one of the remaining persons was interviewed by OPB and seemed to have a fatalistic attitude about leaving and bring arrested alive.

Suicide?

The refuge IS declared SECURED though. A press conference is about to be held (5:30 PM Pacific) in Burns.
