UPDATE:

Just found out that the IMAX box I'm picking up has got a TAD 2001 in it, so it matches the other two after all!
Bonus.....

Cool - gota keep us informed but with a translater as I've seen those Imax sites.

.... and now I'm back.

I'm too excited and exhausted to do any more than just stare at everything 'till I go to bed.

Lee, don't you run away too far, as I'll have a gozillion questions in the next 24 hours. LoL.
1st one off the top of my head, is how the hell do I convert these to stereo?
I'll take some pics tomorrow to show you wot's goin' on, but I think it's a lot simpler than I think it is. (if that makes sense.)
Theres a module on the back panel, which I think is the bridging circuit which clearly has two signal input leads tied into it. I just need to figure out what the other wires do. All wiring is via a connector to the module, which occupies about 2/3 of the back panel and is interchangeable with other modules.

Anyway, 'nuff said for now. Time to take that little yellow pill that I didn't take last night...... :confused2:

I'll be here all day. The monsoons have arrived. Been raining all night and for the past 3 days off and on. Nothing is moving in ther field except 4 wheel drive pickups and 1 tons. {Paperwork day we call em.

Q: So wot could possibly be the WORST CASE SCENARIO right now?
A: I think it's all freakin' 110 Volts......

I feel sooooooo stooooopid.................................................... :banghead:

So, I'll mortgage my house and you can send em to poppa....

Watts=volts X amps

Take the full power consumption rating of the amp, times .9 for efficiency and that'll get you close.

this has absolutely destroyed me no end......
wot's worse, is I feel so responsible for my mate blowing his $$$'s on buying the other four amps of which only one of his is a 7B (800x) and the other three (Sonics 600x) are still unknown as to what THEY are.
they did all look identical to these physically but only had 1/2 of the o/p transistors per side.
I did want to test them all before we did the deal, but HE was in a hurry just to pick up and go.
damn damn damn.....
still, it's my fault, and I will suffer.....

Dude, no way nyou casn get hurt at 150.00 each. Take a deep breath, now e-mail Bryston, see if the transformers were of international variety and dual voltage, IMAX were put up every where, and........I wonder if you could series amps on the AC side?????

I have emailed Mike at Bryston, and am waiting for a reply.
We have already chatted previously about these things, so I'm hoping for a speedy response.
I've checked the schematics for the 7B, and it looks like the 240v xformers have a different part number, plus there seems to be an additional bridge rectifier added. (????)
u can't series amps!!!!!!
looks like a s/t xformer is the go. i'll have to wait a bit before i can afford it tho'. i'm now officially poorer than my cats :(

I can't believe an outfit like Bryston would manufacture an amp that could be used anywhere in the world at just 120 volt. Course maybe Sonic detailed the power requirement.

.... and i can't believe how sick this has made me feel. literally!
