Up early, and got ready for an 11.30am appt. only to realise after checking my notes (just before I ran out the door), that it's for NEXT Thursday. :oops:
 
Hey, it happens, George. It's worse when you miss appointments because you thought they were the following week.

A few weeks back, I had an appt at the surgeon's, but tried to cancel, as the appt was 3 days before my MRI, which is wot the appt was for, so we could see the results.
I got told, if I cancel, I'll get put on the end of the list.
So I went, only to be told once I was there, that the surgeon decided to cancel, because my results for an MRI, that I hadn't had yet, weren't back yet.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me, George. Yikes, I can't imagine what you might have thought about saying at that moment. Stone-faced silence instead?

This happens more frequent than you think. There is more red tape and BS in the medical industry than in the good O USA Goverment:jerk:
 
Happens in many industries. Today I received a package from Japan which is meant to have 4 pinch rollers that I need for a dual well deck. They sent me one, completely hopeless. I'll have to get back onto JVC about this, and its going to take another 3 weeks for them to get here again.

Whats happening with you George? nothing too serious I hope.

… but that's just it D. It'll never happen.
If you rely on Public Health (like I do), life becomes just one long waiting list…..

All these issues could be simply solved by busting a nut courtesy of a nurse (or 3).
 
OK, my new next project…..

As mentioned over at 'recent scores' thread, I got a JBL 2440 to rebuild.

Here it is, and and what's been done so far.
It'll have to wait now 'till I get some screws and extra bits to continue.

First pic, the driver with cap removed. OMG!
Second pic, the diaphragm and remnants of the voice coil.
Third pic, the phase plug.
Fourth pic, the phase plug removed, and the 'gap' cleaned out of all the rust and bits of voice coil.
Fifth pic, there is no fifth pic. maybe in a few days……. :evil4:

Now to tackle that rust and try and get the two broken studs out…. :confused:
