I've totally lost the plot....
I sent you an sms wishing you happy easter but didn't call.
ahhhhh, is that wot it was?
sorry….
right back at ya then.

forgive me D2, but when it comes to mbl's, i'm totally useless, simply 'coz i just can't see 'em, and also because i live in a virtually zero reception area, just can't use it.
.. and i hate my landline 'coz it's in the bedroom, and there's no room for one anywhere near my desk anyway!
Plus, i can't type and talk, and watch tv, and listen to the stereo, and repair speakers, and 'smoke', ALL AT THE SAME TIME, so i gave up talking…..
:(

Well if it's not one thing, it's something' else.
I'm sitting here listening to a most annoying fan noise coming from my bloody MacThing.
Sounds like the right one is dying, and clunking away.
Looks like I'm gonna have to pull it out and check it before it does something bad. Wot a waste of time that's gonna be.

So much to do, and only one lifetime to do it in….. [BIG SIGH] :(

Could be cat hair? Yes fans are a pain in the neck when they start vibrating like that. I gotta give my pc a clean, been lazy and it has lots of fine dust in the filters even after a brush over. But its not getting hot, maybe 2-3 degrees warmer. Thank god winter is coming.

Halfbiass...Electron Herder and Backass Woof
even an umpires whistle would, would, would…. oh, I so don't wanna go there!
I almost just imagined it, and even THAT hurt.

The horns on a diesel locamotive are known as "5 note Leslies" . 5 separate horns built by the Leslie company. Now mind you, on a train , outside , with 120PSI they are deadly. Inside a 50 X 80 steel shop with 200 PSI you can literally scare the shiot outta folks. ya just aint right for days after that. BTW, if you can manage to get your hands on a set, expect the railroad detectives to be hot on your trail (and they are VERY good at what they do) BUT!!! They weren't good enough....was 2 years before I could play with em...

my 'old' macbook pro runs at around 70C+ constantly, and I just don't like it.
my 'new' one runs at around 62C.
I'll be swapping them over soon, but I'll be changing the hdd's over instead of 'migrating' data. it's a bit of an effort, but at least everything's still the same that way.
…. and besides, it saves on heaps of hours shifting files around.
Then I'm gonna smother my 'old' one to death with a pillow.

Well I've been quiet for a while, and this is why.
I was lucky enough to have an insider's look and a bit of a play over the last couple of weeks of a rather quaint little PA which is installed in a venue here that's just about to close down. (very sad news)
Anyway, here's some family snaps of the rig.

That's 15 Nexo Line Array boxes per side, backed up with 6 2x18"" boxes for the bottom end.
Lab.Gruppen Power Amps, and asst other stuff with lots of flashing lights in 'em. It's all too technical for you lot. :happy6:

NOW I know wot LOUD is. I've NEVER heard anything quite like it. Mesmerising to say the least.

Funny thing is, I never knew the distributor of these Nexo things is a very dear old friend of mine, and I'm getting a personal tour of the warehouse and the newest sound systems that he currently has on offer.
…. oh, and yeh, we're doin' lunch.

Wot a nice week it's been….. ;)

I've heard Gruppen is good stuff...
seems to be very popular with the larger touring rigs.
honestly, you should've heard wot I just heard.
I never thought it was humanly possible to go that loud, and crystal clear. OUTSTANDING.
anyway, I'm going back for more.
…. and having lunch with the distributor tomorrow is icing on the cake.
I wonder wot he's got on his mind?????
I feel like I'm about to be tricked into something.
I'll say "yes" to anything as long as I can have some in my lounge room, AND a company car. LoL…..

Wow George, that surely is impressive and not something you will find in the lounge room. I think you needed a 'loud' fix without rattling the nest at home and upsetting all those so called "humans" that live there :evil4: Did you end up getting a loan of that mixing desk for your lounge room?

Also you are back online, does that mean the Macs swapped over ok?
