We have a rather coarse way of parting in the oilfield when one has been wronged--" I'll piss on your grave mother F^%$#@!"

I've totally lost the plot....

I've watched a few episodes of the reality TV show called Black Gold.
Are you in that by any chance?
These guys also have colourful words of endearment for each other whether they're coming or going, and in good or bad moods.
I have a 'little' brother that works on the gas fields. Even if he wasn't my bro', I'd wanna know him anyway. He's such a top bloke.

Black Gold is a staged drama series. The real oilfield is mostly boring hard work with moments of pure , stark terror thrown in for good measure....

It all looks too hard, although when I was younger, I almost signed up for an offshore rig once.
.... but I ended up working for the railways on a derailment gang. :laughing9:

Very nice! I am also wondering about the Mystery One. The Sony is another I like the looks of.

sweet!

which do you like most and what the heck is that Mystery One?
That's a $4,000 tube pre-amp from Unison Research in Italy. It's so neutral that it's almost impossible. I bought it from the former local distributor and it was the only one in PR until I sold it to a colleague from Japan. I regret selling it.

What I like best, is that although components have come and gone through your hands, you kept pictures of them. This gives the rest of us enthusiasts, here, a chance to see something we had not seen before. And it's nice to hear a little bit about your findings with the amazing collection you once had and still own.

Well Nando, is not easy to have over 85 pieces of classic audio at home while trying to convince your wife that it's ok, you know...HA! :toothy10:
