Jim, I've had the stuff around here for years, time to move some of it. It may not work, never plugged it in. Are you still interested if it doesn't power up??

They like to hide fuses I’m finding (or did find on my 580) although it was not bad in my case.

If it’s a total door stop I’ll part it out and send you half the proceeds. But I’m thinking it still has a bit of “piss off the neighbors” left in it.

I actually own a variac. It’s blue I think. Shiny even. Brand new. No fu—- idea where it is. Maybe in the garage… I need to find it if I keep messing with this old junk…
 
It powers up...DC offset is high at .065 vfc, all the lights appear to work. I also have a 780 sevicemanual and owners manual on pdf....pm your address Jim..
