Hey Glen - still have lots of wire. Discount seen in the near future. I have precut stuff I would like to offload.
Thank you DennisHey Glen - still have lots of wire. Discount seen in the near future. I have precut stuff I would like to offload.
Yup, think I'm going to go with one a little thinner than that. That one must be from Glenn's Dual 500 parts stash. That's known as a BABB, big ass bus bar..
Huh! How about to that! Not as sexy as copper, but there's a lot more aluminum laying around. I do like not soldering to the busbar, will make disassembly easier in the far future for any repairs.
Whatcha building there Joe??
Now you let the cat out of the bag didn’t you JoeThat is the 700 built with the custom transformer that I designed Lee.
So I just gave enough in the photo that can yield many other tit bits. Look hard everyoneGlenn, I'm watching your thread with interest. I really like how you fabbed the copper bus bar and used socket head bolts. The copper bus bar that PL used on the 700 I'm building is less substantial and thinner than the ones they used on the older 400s I WOPLed. I'm watching and going to copy some of your ideas!
Aluminum may be a better choice than copper with respect to any galvanic reaction to the power cap connections. I’m with George the copper is not only BASS but has some bling
Perhaps Glen...I spend a lot of R&D money on dead ends at times. Now you let the cat out of the bag didn’t you Joe
