To me the black pushbuttons seem to nullify some of the high endness. Don't know why exactly, other than it looks cheesy. Course if you open it up and they're those nice sealed Alps, that would make a difference....

I thought so too Lee, until I used them and they are silky smooth, extremely high quality. I agree that the industrial design of this amp in this league could use some more thought in the style department however. I don't mind that all that much, it kind of goes with the style of the original Crown DC-300 which had that powerful, industrial look to it.

I have both the Spec 1 and C200 and have listened to them in the same system. They are pretty damned close in SQ. It's not a fair fight really though as the C200 has been recapped and the Spec not, but it's on my to do list. Phono section is the best part of C200 for me, it beats the Spec. When I listen to CD's through it, it's a toss up. Will be interesting when the Spec is done.

The Spec is a whole different animal after the Ew mods...
I've only had Glenn do a bit to the C200....He did not do a full recap or any mods to it, but he has been through it and everything is as it should be. He did recap and go through the P250.

If I remember correctly Glenn speaks highly of the C200...this makes sense though as his opinion is the Kenwood 700 Supreme's are his favorites as I remember

Yeah, I miss going over to his place or the Twangfests at Jays place. Getting scope lessons from Glenn in Jay's basement was a blast. Just wished I remembered it still ;)

I loved the picture of your Accuphase gear when you first posted it some time ago, Paul.
Thanks Nando!

This picture is terrible and makes it look not as nice as it is. I use my C200/P250 the most of any combo. It is my "Daily Driver". I feed it itunes from my pc and send it all into a pair of JBL 4425's. Not bad for a pc system ;)

is this unit still available?

I'm looking to complete my accuphase set of p250 & t100 with a c200. and have managed to be patient about it so far, but am getting a bit jumpy lately.
If it is still available, could you describe the servicing that was done to it?
Thanks
