I wonder how much of this is related to the October Windows Rollup updating. Answers is abuzz with tales of some bad patches hidden in the cumulative update last month. October marked the start of rolling up updates instead of individual patches and just tossing them out there. People are doing system restores to prior and fining things return to working again.
Also resetting video card setting etc. could help...still when certain web files freeze Word and IE it's a problem.
A clear sign there is ganga on the Ganges.
Somebody mentioned that some problems are related to filenames longer than 121 characters (what, is it Twitter)?
