A Quote A Day *unless I forget...

An old man who has cheated death many times can get philosophical on your ass!!

Heard a good one on Deadliest Catch------" Don't Ever Ride Your Bike Faster Than Your Angels Can Fly"

If you wish to understand the Universe, think of energy, frequency and vibration. -Nikola Tesla

Details matter.

Sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference in the world. It's also those very same details (or the lack of them) that can very easily be manipulated into misleading your audience into drawing false or incomplete conclusions.

Take the following phrase:

"A woman without her man is nothing."

What does that say?

Now take the exact same words, but insert one comma and one period:

"A woman. Without her, man is nothing."

NOW what does it say?

but the bumblebee doesn't know anything about the laws of aerodynamics,
so it goes ahead and flies anyway "

This is a true short about a young female sailor. Her last name is Swallow and Navy enlisted recruits begin their carriers as a Seamen. The Chief (or officer) that had to call her name for roll call or interface with her would have to - by Navy protocol - call her Seamen Swallow. :tongue3: Could you say that with a straight face?
