700B WOPL Audition List

Did you get your 1250 back? That should have a decent preamp out on it

Yeah it looks like you should be able to use the 939 for a pre.

Some peeps dont seem to like using an integrated as a pre because of the power section presence. I have never had an issue personally and have used integrated units as a power or pre in certain situations. And I always keep one around as a back up just in case. Never know when you could need it.

Yeah I'm basically trying to stay with something I have or something off crutchfield.that way I don't have tons warped up in the audition. But if I decide I like it . Then I will get a very nice pre to use on my WOPL. But for a test run I just need something good enough to still let it shine!!

Any Pioneer of that vintage has a great pre-amp section. I agree with Ron--RUN IT!!

I have a pair of d9s,dx9s and at-15s. So I have 3 pairs of 400w speakers. That should work . I hope lmao

Those D9's will love that WOPL, mine did. Put a fan on that WOPL when ya get rowdy with it. Those D9's are close to 4 Ohms, so you're lookin at 700 per and they'll need some air moving over the heatsinks.

Thought that would have come out slightly larger. D9's are 350 according to this.

All 3 pairs I have are 4 ohm 400w 15" . The at-15 are the d9s basically but they came out in like 1990 I think

They'll do whatever till the breakers or fuses go... REMEMBER---at 4 ohms the WOPL will do north of 700 per channel, so go upward slowly. It takes a helluva an amp to push the Cerwins hard and still have soome haedroom but the WOPL can do it.

Interesting. My U351's are spec'd at 8ohm 100watts.

I will be very carefull. If I take out a pair atleast I still got 2 more pairs. I'm not scared. Bring on the juice lmao
