Yep, a 1000B is unobtanium for me. Even if I found a nice clean cosmetically but blown up one for dirt cheap, I could not afford to have it done up proper. I am just happy to be able to own a few 400s and belong to this great community

And what if someone asked you to go gather up a bunch of stuff and ask you to keep it up to 6 months?? And ship some of the goodies during that time?? Gather up one for your trouble and send it to Jer?? Was that so bad??

He told me he sold some near NOS condition (2) 400s and (3) 700Bs that came from the estate of some bigwig. That made me sick when I heard that (lost opportunity) but then he mentioned the cabs. I am assuming he has 5 of them and I need two for the 400s but I will try to get them all in case anybody here needs them

I would do that anyway for you anyways, no compensation required except costs to pickup and ship. That would be awesome though! On a side note, I figured that was a dead deal, have not heard a peep since you were discussing it and have not seen that cat on the board lately. This AK dude I am talking to says he has a warehouse full of audio stuff. I am just feeling him out for the PL cases but I think he has a bunch of Pioneer silverface and SPEC stuff also. I am also running a Craigslist ad now looking for blownup/broken PL stuff but have not heard anything yet
 
No deal yet, waiting on a detailed inventory. I've learned that if a 3rd party is involved(Ron) , that it's better for everyone if things can be checked off a list as they're loaded, no misunderstandings that way.


And Ron, I would not expect your time for nothing, after covering your expenses you need something.

Talked to him last February on the PL's he told you he sold. No doubt he has what he says.

Agreed, you definitely want what you pay for. I would be on the phone with you anyway while it was being done, even live feed video via my Son's tablet

What was he asking for them when he was selling? He wants $10 a piece for the PL cases. I would have to drive to Bethany to pick them up (otherside of the State). I m trying to guage his prices for stuff. I asked him if he had any D9's or something 15" 400w speakers that are cheap enough for me to be able to buy. Just checked my PM's over there and he has not got back to me yet about the cases
 
Never quoted a price, I just told him I wasn't going to give what he thought they were worth.
 
I don't blame you, afterall, they are just going to get ripped apart and rebuilt

The chances of me being in phone range are 50/50 at best, therefore.....
 
Got a PM from Kolledog, he said he only has two cases left so I will grab them for the 400s
 
I got busy last night and totally missed this thread. This is so generous and awesome of you. I can't wait to give it a listen. Then hopefully after that I'll have my own rebuild thread on here:smokin:
