Thanks to all. Had the day off work and cranked up the 400 all day. Played xbox with the kids and grilled some steak in the freezing cold. Finished the day out with a couple of drinks and a warm fire. Was a great day just chillin out. Thanks again .:iconbiggrin:

I dropped the bezels off at powder coat dept at work today. I have to wait until they are doing gothic black, but shouldn't be more than a day or 2. The painter sounded confident that he will have acceptable results. Still trying to get machine time to bend my handles and make ferrules. The hold...

Until I can come up with something better this is my fix. Wish me luck on the bezel baking process, and if it works.....

I am really enjoying my C-1 and wish I could purchase a kit for the Billd mod . Does this count for a preamp kit? Anyone?

I have some .25 punch slugs I'm going to put under the meter side to keep the screws straight. That seemed to be the problem with the originals. Even with the offset the screws were set at an angle. I'll keep them straight up. It doesn't need a lot of pressure to hold the meters in and my screws...

I built some new meter hold downs today, as I was missing one and the other three were completely roached. My meters were mostly held in with silicone. I soda blasted the meter bezels and will bring them to work tomorrow and see how the powder coat works out. Keeping my fingers crossed that they...

I'll get the kit from Joe tomorrow and take the bezels into work this week. I'll post up some pics on the outcome. I'll also check into what colors of powdercoat I can get. I know goal post yellow is pretty popular.;-)

I guess when I pull them out, I will have them roasted in black chrome and see how it turns out. You guys are just egging me on now.:wink: Oh, and if it works, I will gladly get some done for you.

Thank you. I have access to powdercoat at work also. They look to be cast aluminum and I have no experience in that department. I'd hate to ruin them since I've gone this far without roasting anything as of yet. I think for winging it as I go, I've done pretty good so far. At least my ears agree....

I should get the light kit in the mail tomorrow and hope to have time to pull the meters apart and fix the lazy eye in the process. I ordered AGC size fuse holders and 12v fans. I am really enjoying this project and hate to keep pulling it out of service. I Pm'd Perry about the handle ferrules...
