Made that silmac label shrink down exposing 80% of the cap. With a severely bulged top. Touch it the wrong way and it might explode.

Already is. Around noon here I had it up and running..

Had a chance to look it over. Besides being very dusty inside, It appears to have a bad case of glue corrosion and some cracked solder connections. Nothing is burnt up. Usually these short a couple outputs and fry a shit load of components.(Chernobyl Effect)

M-80 arrived around 9 AM. Only cosmetic issue one of the "A speaker BP " is loose(cracked plastic). I'll pop the cover later for initial eval.

Have any idea what he found. I would suspect solder connection.

IMO .. B-2 sounds very fine.MX-1 sounds very fine as well. And the outputs are a hellofvalot cheaper. I'd flip B-2's in a nanosecond.

I bought it knowing it had issues. So that was no surprise. It got jacked up in price the last 30 seconds of the auction. From $166 to what I paid, $280.

Got the MX-1.. It is in cosmetically "cherry " condition. Both channels have issues. Ain't had the time to t-shoot'm yet.

Well, if it gets here in the same shape as the Ebay photos. It looked pretty damn clean. Amplifier powers up, protect relays set. Just no sound . I repaired and MX-1 about a month or two ago. Blown output transistor and 3-4 loose transistors (cold solder) on the rear input/voltage amplifier...
