PL400 Series II WOPL Quasi Control Board

Dianne, the series II 400, is being a spoiled Princess. It has an issue. Firing it up, everything goes as planned. Then, after about 20 seconds of idling, The Output relay shuts down. If I try a restart, the Relay lights up for a brief moment and does not energize. If I wait an hour or so, I'm...

Wiring WOPL PL14-20 Control Board to PL400ii Quasi Back Plane

Thanks again, I had them wrong. The missing pnp's on the diagram messed with me. I should have seen that. I think I have it right. Glad I asked and you responded before I powered up.

PL3000 preamp Recap Mouser parts list.

I think I'll keep the TL 074's that are in it. I can follow directions and desolder/solder anything, and even trouble shoot a couple circuits, but No way does any of those articles make sense to me. That's electronics 300 or greater.. :)

PL3000 preamp Recap Mouser parts list.

If you think it's a good idea, it probably is. I have no idea how to do that. I'm still in Electronics 200. :) I couldn't believe I was able to buy all new nitrogen filled yellow relays from Walmart of all places, and they were only about $3.50 each. I also replaced the somewhat scorched snubber...

Recapped and relayed PL3000 Preamp coupled with WOPL PL400

I just finished a first listen to the above referenced set up. OMG, I've never heard such detail and clear power. Recapping the 3000 was totally worth it, and lets the WOPL soar. Thanks to all you guys for your tech support.

    phase linear 400

Nice!! I picked up a couple "non-working" Furman PS-8's a few weeks back. I have the first one up and running, it needed a single 1000uf 50V capacitor. The second one has a dead EFI filter, I'm waiting for the part to arrive. Pretty easy to work on. I'll probably off one of them to cover the...

PL400 Series II WOPL Quasi Control Board

Gotcha. I appreciate the explanation, and something I can be aware of in other electronic endeavors. BTW, your color diagrams of hooking up the board in a former pl36 configuration are very helpful.

Hi kids, I just finished assembly of a WOPL Control Board Version G for use in a Quasi setup. I thought I'd post a picture to see if anyone spots any issues before I go forward with installation. Thanks in advance for your eagle eyes.
