    Billion Watt Load Bank Build

Made a bit of progress. Had to drill a shitload of holes and then tapped the holes and mounted the BAR's (Big Ass Resistors) but not before I got all that whale spooge all over. I hate that shit but I couldn't find my sheet of thermal material, so, Whale Spooge it is. I looked at my shelf from 3...

    NAD 6300

The 7600 is the biggest @150WPC The 7400 is 100WPC I'll set my alert for a 7600 but the nice one I saw was $700 with pick up only (Cali). When they reviewed it, they said it has: "1300 preamplifier, 4300 tuner, and 2600A power amplifier built into the receiver chassis. There is one on...

    NAD 6300

I like the looks of the NAD gear. If I was looking to build another system, I'd try them. They look fairly easy to do maint/repair on. Any threads on how they perform? I WONT tell you you have nice looking NAD's though. HUH???

Too small for me too but I wouldn't mind building a small shop amp but after hearing how big the cooling scheme is going to be, I may look around for a mini amp.

    Pioneer RG-1 transistors

yep, if the transistors have black legs, get em out before the shennanigans begin. We have found that this black "corrosion" will eat the legs and it's usually where you CANT see when they have been eaten through.

Marantz Model 2325 - Getting the Treatment

Damn Jer, yer right, the back side of those boards are f-ed.............. I got a Sansewer AU-999 on the bench right now and it isn't quite as bad but almost. I used some left-over WOPL back plane solder cups (as Vias to hold down the pads) and repaired what I could. Friggin single sided...

Wyn is working on a new power amp...

So Jim, I read through what Wyn has posted on the PA project. Is the power out going to be to your liking (60WPC??). It would appear that the noise figures are very good. I see he had to slow you guys down for wanting to get a Power Supply fingered out and he didn't seem quite ready for that...

    NAD 6300

In our military soldering tool boxes we always had the approved Ruby Red erasers (they are pink) which had the best characteristics for corrosion removal. https://www.ebay.com/itm/176259384334

    I'm in love - Sansui 990DB

The Holy Grail is NOT a 990db, it's the $20,000 G22000. Twice as much power as the 990 too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/334377821159

    Multimeter Fuses.

Not confusing at all. F11 A (pretty simple really) Fuse 11 amps and the F44/100 A is Fuse, 44/100 means 44 divided by 100=440ma

    Multimeter Fuses.

They are not hard to find, just frigging expensive. It didn't confuse me, It has a part number, and I looked it up on Fluke website.

    Multimeter Fuses.

Nope, the 11 A is an 11 amp fuse and the 44 100 A is the current fuse at 440ma max. even the fluke website has these numbers. And they are posted inside the meter, AND i also took the numbers off the fuse.... Same-O same-O
