You have a full comp setup so I am assuming that your quick check procedure is that of having no devices installed on the backplane boards and testing for bias.Q6 and Q9 typically do not get very warm under any circumstance.
You should think of the 2 things as potentially unrelated Kyle. You are assuming the backwards cap had something to do with the bias problem when it could just be a coincidence
I agree Bob, that is Seeger's best work on The Distance. Love it every time I hear tunes from that release. I saw Seeger 2 nights back to back (the Garden and the Worcester Centrum) when he blew through New England within the last decade. The Centrum is the best for audio concerts.
Richard, It appears that your board is built as full comp by the picture with the exception that you are missing the 1 ohm resistors in the R38R slot (and possibly the R38L slot as well). The debug instructions you appear to be following are for a quasi comp test, not full comp (I am drawing...
George, if you do not plan any rework of the wires attached to the posts, it does no harm to tack the last 1 or 2 wraps to the post with solder. It makes it a bear to rework if you ever intend to rewire (doubt that is your intent).
