My understanding from a tech is that the 900 has better heads than the 950.

That looks bad but you can clean them up with 91 percent alcohol but you do have some cleaning to do.It is a shame that manufacturers put out that kind of ruinous crap.

Do you use an Auxiliary Tape Switcher like my Russosound TMS-1 to switch between the various tape decks you own? The one I have is a Passive Device and gets plugged into the tape monitor I have 2of them to accommodate my decks. I am also putting another upstairs to plug into Tape Monitor 2.

Thanks Derek for your reply.I dubbed from my Onkyo 2058 to a Denon M700 using Dolby C on both decks and it came out right. BUT when I switched DolbyC off the sound was distorted. Very Strange!!

As I remember it Woolco had a tape themselves rebranded of course. Theirs was also Type 1 and II but I don't think Metals were out when they had their tape.
