I have DQ-10's and I love them. I power them with one of Perry's Claire Bros. 700 series 2 amps and couldn't be more pleased. I close my eyes and I'm there! I often wonder how they'd compare to a set of ESS AMT1a's I have that I need to rebuild. I'm in no rush.

I remember Klaatu quite well. At the time their first album came out there was a lot of controversy about who they were. People were convinced the Beatles had got together secretly and recorded this album. There was even a radio program playing bits and pieces of both to show the similarities...

I agree with Jim about the screws. It's a minor detail, but...actually I guess it wouldn't make any difference other than the slotted screws were original.

I've run Audio Technica cartridges since my first real turntable in the '70's. Always mm type and I regard them very highly. My favorite is an AT155LC. Whenever it needs a stylus I'll have to get VM series stylus for it. I do like this Denon though.

And yeah, It's not cheap, but neither are good cartridges. I'd try to find a replacement stylus and go from there. Did you look into the Jico/Sas stuff.
