Excellent Album !
That PL 8000 looks mint, very nice.
Yes Sir, One of my favorites of his. I do like his style, Seen him 3 times here in Knoxville , TN. Man does he play loud. First time we were in row 14, You could feel the music. Just a little bit too loud....Not so much when I was younger. The louder the better. Now I watch shows from the balcony
More gooder.....

I've owned the PL 8000 for about 5 years now. Purchased from a man who serviced it and got it back to working flawless. It's been my daily player, I do like the auto return....

I agree, I almost added the note: "Play it Loud" as anything Bonamassa sounds best at elevated volume. Love his music. I have seen him twice, but never had seats that close.

Random Rock Mix Tape

Not my own mix tape, but one which came with a cassette deck I bought last year.

The Toshiba SY-335 & SC-335 are a set I had gifted my X-father-in-law over 25 years ago and were given back to me - along with the rest of the stereo system - when he passed away in 2023 and the house was sold last year.

And a cell phone video:

Bunch of Grateful Dead off the computer. Albums are all down in Dallas...

Edit to say: the digitally-sourced material seems to have been remastered compared to my 24/192 files from albums. The remastered material makes me really sit up and take notice the instrumental placement in the soundstage. Much better the second time around.

Today I set the WOPL 700b Time Machine to 1970 -1973. Traffic popped up.
I have always been a Stevie Winwood fan, Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith, Bakers Air Force, Traffic, and his solo releases. I never get tired of his music. If you are a Hendrix fan, his 1968 album Electric Ladyland has Steve Winwood playing the organ n Voodoo Chile…his sound is unmistakable even on Jimi’s album. I saw him in concert whenever I could.
The John Barleycorn album is the 2nd one in my collection, another one that I bought 2 of. I wore the first one out, it has to be one of the bottom 5 in the worst shape in my entire collection, and this is a first pressing also, in mint shape. That first one went through many parties, college room-mates, girlfriends, dust, dirt, static, dog hair, but it still plays through without a skip….it’s a crackle fest though.

Traffic – Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory

Traffic – John Barleycorn Must Die
United Artists Records – UAS 5504

I am a sucker for classical cello. I was listening to the Bach Cello Suites, BWV 1007–1012 this afternoon, and one of my favorite classical cellists is Ailbhe McDonagh. She has written many of her own compositions and often performs with her sister Orla. I really enjoy this short piece that she composed in 2020 and while I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, it is incredibly well done. This sounds amazing through the WOPL 700b. This is why we build these incredible amplifiers.
The title “Skellig” refers to the two rocky islands Skellig Michael (also known as Great Skellig) and Little Skellig off the coast of County Kerry in Ireland. The name comes from the Gaelic word “sceillec”.
Enjoy, you may even shed a tear.
