Final post on this amp. Extra thanks to Perry, Don, Hexxis and Joe for behind the scenes assistance in correcting operator errors along the way. The PL-700 sounds wonderful with the WOPL control board and WattsAbundant speaker relay. Dead silent at idle and more reserve than I will ever need...

Been away for a while, spouse has been very ill. Anyways, became so frustrated with the mis behaving chassis I secured another later version from member Hexxis. So far --- Transferred transformer and assorted bits from the old chassis to the new one, drilled and mounted main caps to end plate...

One of the 4000’s did not have a case. Along with changing out the bottom plate with the slide in plate from the later versions I also threw together a wood case to protect the innards.
