Going back in time, playing Utopia recorded to a Maxell XLI 35-90B. Using my Akai GX-221 - a deck I bought for about $25 years ago and had its first service last year.

@mr_rye89: Definitely, those Polaroids are true chrome BASF tape. I remember when they came available in my local London Drugs store I bought a few boxes.

Some don't like the plainclothes look of the vintage NAD components - I know I didn't at first. But assemble them in a rack, like Jim will be doing and it looks the adage "walk softly and carry a big stick."

Random Rock Mix Tape
Not my own mix tape, but one which came with a cassette deck I bought last year.

Just purchased an unmolested NAD 6155 for $75 CAD. Will have the technician go through it, as it has the original belt set in it. It should arrive in about a week. This was NAD's best deck in 1985-1988 - even though it's a 2-head deck.
