Russ' Phase Linear 700B Going Fully Comp!!!!!!!

Have desoldered R19,R62 and going back with the recommended values, then the board goes in. Not long now...

Joe on my Sencorre TR-139 B I'm showing over 500 for an hfe. What I don't know is the collector current ir uses to test with..that's on the 2N5088's.

Meaning the 5.6K for R62 and 270 for R19 Lee?

Yes Joe. BTW---B+ going to the B- fuse holders will make the bulb very bright and nothing you do to the rest of the wiring will make any fucking difference....

Join the club Lee. I just had a setback while messing around with the bias circuit components so I am in repair mode on one channel. Tack solder joint let loose. Damaged 2 outputs and 4 resistors and a pair of fuses. I like you, are in recovery mode at the moment.

I hate it when that happens.

I also have .2 ohms between collector of the 21196's and ground. Pulled the 2 ---21196's and I still have it..

Hi Lee
In one of your earlier pictures it shows that you have some temporary screws securing the upper portion of the heat sinks away from the pre-drivers at the bottom of the stack that you have installed.

I cannot tell from your photo whether you have insulating washers under them or not. It is essential that you do. Otherwise you will get a B+ and B- short to ground.

Yes Joe, I had those stiff rubber insulators on them. Dis mounted the backplane boards and ground down some high spots that may have been touching. Going back with it now. How's your repair going?

Repaired the 4 backplane components that I zorched. Checking the control board to see if I wounded anything there now.
