This is where it gets tough to make the wiring look good. The faceplate needs to be there to get lenghts right before the wire ties are applied...

I take it that you are leaving the AC socket unpopulated, correct?? You should have all your AC down by the transformer except for the thermal cutout runs. Make sure those are paired tightly with the return leg for low emissions.

Split the AC coming back from the switch earlier than it had been. Trying to keep the shielded pot wires as much away from the rest as I can....

Had to make a run to fastenal...

A lot of wiring on a 700, jeez..
There's an understatement :) I fight with neatness all the time. I use the smallest gauge that I can for the backplane board to control board wiring to keep bulk down (22GA). Using 26GA for the 6 bias connections.

That leaves room for the big stuff.

I'm still not where I want to be on the 700 in the neat department, there are certain runs that have to be made and some don't lend themselves to neat. Making great progress on the 400's, got some way to go on the 700's.

Which ones are you having trouble with Lee? Mine seemed to come together pretty well. I am using the thin walled mil spec 600V Teflon for most all runs. It lays in very neatly.

That's what I'm using to Joe. The 16 gauge gets a little stiff, but it's mainly the look around the bus bar, still gotta be a way to neaten that up.
