I've never had a problem with customs. If you're thinking it might be an issue, just keep it continental US. Wont bother me, just thought I would get in if it makes it way north.

It's not a matter of optimism Brother, it's a matter of money. I barely could afford to buy the blown up one off AK and help Jer with some of the parts, thank goodness I had the M1.5T to trade in towards it. As for Blackie, I would not have her either without Jer

Yep, a 1000B is unobtanium for me. Even if I found a nice clean cosmetically but blown up one for dirt cheap, I could not afford to have it done up proper. I am just happy to be able to own a few 400s and belong to this great community

It's mighty generous of you to offer up the Phase Linear 700 B for members to demo, Lee. I'm quite lucky to have Doug offer the use of his Laarrt WOPL 1000...

...then his original-owner Phase Linear 400...

...then his Rotel RB-1050...

Today, we met again, so I could return his Rotel and pick up my new LPs from Ron who had shipped them to Doug on my behalf. And he kindly pulled his Ampzilla from his system for me to try next, so I will be patching it into my own system, tomorrow. It's always a pleasure to meet with Doug and for those who have signed up for Lee's Travelling Amp, you are in for a special treat. I found that at least a month was enough time for me to appreciate the time spent with a new power amplifier. I'm fortunate Doug lives reasonably close to me, and that I have had the rare opportunity to have another member who has such vintage gear and trusts me with it.

Oh, I have some good news. Some AK dude that lives in my State contacting me that he several Phase Linear cabinets for the 400 and 700B amps. He told me he sold some near NOS condition (2) 400s and (3) 700Bs that came from the estate of some bigwig. That made me sick when I heard that (lost opportunity) but then he mentioned the cabs. I am assuming he has 5 of them and I need two for the 400s but I will try to get them all in case anybody here needs them
