Shit man. I know I have had to move a lot to stay in work. Probably moving again in the spring. I dont own a house so there are no worries there. But with my line of work, and the area I live in, layoffs are always around the corner. I had worked with a company for 6 years that went out of business. Since I been taking what I can get. I started in the trades at 19, doing exterior Stucco. Switched to steel framing/drywall and T bar about 10 years ago. That was promising for a while. After the company went under, I tried to work as an electrical apprentice, but that just wasnt paying the bills. Taking almost a 10 dollar an hour pay cut. But it was work. This year I went back to doing Stucco, as it seems framing and drywall is pretty slow. Stucco unfortunately is a somewhat seasonal thing. So im laid off yet again.
