Ry Cooder - Boomer's Story
(1972, Reprise)

Dang I've been looking for this one. Great lp. I think it might be my fav ry cooder. Also into the purple valley and s/t and paradise and lunch are all great stuff. If you ever put this in BT pm me first lol. I need it on vinyl I have cd and puter rip but not lp. Hey Ron if you see this and have one let me know..

Hey Skynyrd, those are among my favorite Ry LPs too, plus a few others. The Live LP, Showtime, is a good one too. I have a lot of very nice condition extra RC LPs so let me know if you're looking for any of the other titles. I think I have another Boomer's Story but it's probably not clean enough to pass along, I don't see this one or s/t very often.

WASP - The Last Command original Capitol/EMI US release. Widowmaker is worth the price of admission alone but every song is great

1770 - Live! The Electric Hour self released by Brett Ellis. He is one helluva guitar player. Sort of like Frank Marino meets Yngwie Malmsteen. Anyway, he later formed a two piece band with his wife. They were called Icris Witch and the cd they released was called In For the Kill. IF you can find a copy, I would highly recommend it if you like bluesy rock sung by a female with the perfect voice for it. Add the amazing guitar solos and crushing riffs and you get a winner

As for the below lp, I have only seen this copy in existence, Brett gave me this, it's one of his copies and has his initials everywhere. The catalog number is BE-3 and he released it in 1990. This is probably the rarest lp in my collection as far as obscure Metal

EDIT: I do see references to this on the internet so I am assuming there is at least 50-100 copies pressed. I know it's wicked low though

Liege Lord - Freedoms Rise original gatefold cover version on Azra/Ironworks. Another tough lp to find for less the $150 or more in minty shape. Guitar pick is original, got it at a show back in the 80s when they first started out in Connecticut. I also have this lp on Black Dragon Records and also Banzai Records with a different non-gatefold cover

Yeah I think I have all the ry except boomers story! I want to hear it on vinyl bad. My cd through dac sounds good but I know the vinyl will kick its ass.

Thai pop/funk from the early 70s. Great stuff, and Light in the Attic did a great job with the vinyl pressing and packaging.

I am spinning huey lewis and the news sports lp ATM . A copy I got from Ron and it rocks !!!
The sealed or open copy LOL I sent both

A guy just sold his '75 Les Paul Deluxe on MLP for $1500 Jason, looked just like yours! I was going to PM you the link but it sold quick. He had it converted to humbuckers also. His had Classic '57s in it. Seems like every Norlin Deluxe out there has been routed out. I personally hate the minibuckers except in a Firebird

Oh, don't get me wrong the mini's are good pups, just look odd when your used to full size humbuckers. I had a Custom Shop non-reverse TV white Firebird though that absolutely screamed Johnny Winter with them

EDIT: Yep, Gibsion's will always appreciate in value

Those mini buckers are nice pickups. I sure wish I still had all the original sets I once did. Hell, I wish I had the gear I once had.

I always thought a Gibson mini bucker would be so sweet in the neck position of a Tele. Infact, I held onto pair for a while as I was hoping to put one in the neck and a bad ass Kay "Kleenex box" pick up I have in the bridge. That would be one hot fucking Tele right there.... ;)

I've found that third pick up in the middle to get in my way. Especially on the LP/SG's as they are so tight.

They do feel wierd at first, same thing with the 3 pup Black Beauty's. I play with the back of my hand resting on the bridge so it was not bad for me but I know exactly what your thinking. What I found that I did not like on the Firebirds is the neckjoint and the fact that the neck feels a foot longer LOL

This one has a longer than normal Gibson scale length but was so well balanced, played so sweet and is just fucking awesome to look at......I sure wish I had it back but it now resides in a good friends "Guitar roach motel" where guitars come in but they never leave. At least I can always go play it

I remember the RD's well!!! Almost bought one but the Moog circuit in it was missing. I think they are fabulous guitars!!! I also love that finish, my '81 CMT e/2 had it also but with a curly maple top
