Hmm.. did more research... I like this quote here...

"A Cost Effective Means of Upgrading to SOIC With Out Changing Your PCB Layout"

10 bucks apiece???! so each relay's going to run me around 15-16 smackers? Yeow - I think I'll stick with K13 as my cure for now.

Relay voltage options should not be a problem. What they are trying to do is to get a generic form factor to conform to the HB2E-DC24 form factor. They state the form factor for the mounted relay and aftre that it's a matter of shopping.

Problem solved ?? Coolness...
Well, yeah for now.. hehe. Another way to skin the cat... (not my pic.. I'll replace it soon as I can wrangle the camera)

Picked up one of these from fleabay, got it in today. K13 did appear to fix the 3000 tho. This HK isn't half bad, however. All mechanical switching/no CMOS. VERY decent discreet buffer amp circuit. And the phono pre section isn't half bad either - I replaced my Dire Straits / Love Over Gold with a brand new 180gm reissue. That was .. religious... heheh. :thumbright:

HB2E-DC24

I restored a 3000 SII , using "cheap" HB2E-DC24-relays sourced from far-east. Bought 2 batches x 10.
Mind, they are used, even if seller claim "new"...

Yes, psu caps & a few in signal-path was changed for better...bi-polar types.
-after some trial, BB OPA228 were used for MM-riaa. MC opamp were left alone (special pinout).
NJM2060 & OPA4227 used for line-level, stock for headphone out.

By ear only... Like trying LT1115 opamps for MM-riaa; did not have less noise (in this circuit), nor did they sound better...

Resurrecting this post from the dead and first time poster!

Arne K which positions did you install the NJM2060 & OPA4227 for the the line - level?

Also looking for the switch for the impedance selector in the back of the unit for the phono input.
Anyone here looking to part with one or know a source where one can be obtained?

Regards,
Rudy.

On the nitrogen filled 34 lot I biught 3 years ago I spent 5.25 each.
Hi Lee, How's the vacation going? Old post but just wondering how to tell a nitrogen filled relay one from not? Looking at a 3000II wondering if it's worth the trouble of dealing with the relays? Thank you.
