.... and which vegetable do you feel like?
.... and would that be raw, fried or steamed?
Probably fried because that's how my head feels right now. Stuck in this chair and can't get up to put a record/tape on yet so will keep "Flaccing" it, the lazy way. Damn I forgot something, I will have to get up to grab it (we discussed this yesterday on the phone) :)

D2, this is the sort of thing that would suit the WOPL.
It's pretty cheap for they are. I've used them heaps, and they're a sort of a copy of the Turbosound TMS4.
Albeit, these are tri-amp boxes, but you could get these to run (on the cheap) by just simply getting some freakin' huge capacitors and just use them as low pass filters on the mids, and highs, and run each component open.
Let's face it, you only need to block the low/mids out of the highs, and lows out of the mids, so you could sort of get away with it, until you bought an active x-o for the low to mid, and run the highs passive, but then you'd need another power amp for the mid/highs.(have I lost you yet?)
Unless, you can find a passive 3-way extremely high powered pair of crossovers somewhere - cheap!
Maybe JANDS may have some. After all, they built these things.

Starting to get complicated isn't it?
Well that's the direction it's going........

Thanks George, They look nice and HUGE, would be great to keep it simple and have a set of speakers that I could plug in and just enjoy without messing around with capacitors or bi/tri amping, that stuff goes way beyond my head (what's left of it), start simple to begin with, even without bi or tri amping the cops are sure to be called.

Ok, I have read through this thread and there is no way to split it into coherent thoughts? The subject matter drifts like the wind or should I say one of Lee's farts. :laughing9::
Why would you even try? There is no coherent thought going on here - that's why we're here - too much fun! :confused2::laughing9::confused2::laughing9::confused2::laughing9:

Lee, I'm still saving slowly, I estimate I have around $400 so far. Car registration is going to piss me off in 1 month, will just keep working towards it, will get there eventually. See how the tax return goes, that could help some.

Not a problem Derek, It'll be here. Plus Skratch is coming up with a 700 Series I replacement faceplate that will use the big 400 meters other than the small Argonnes used in the Ser I stuff. Oh, it'll be Black Anodized too. Totally outrageous, brand new 1/4 inch, black anodized faceplate with big meters. Just so happens your 700 is in line for that little conversion. Ya just never know around here....

Just curious. What is the freight cost to get this heavy beast to you?
I am not sure and not concerned, I want my WOPL. I estimate it could be between $200-$400. Then again I think Lee has some ideas to help reduce this cost.
