Nitty Gritty

I use the microfibers more than the diaper. There are different grades of micros. They start costing like 3.00 a piece. Don't use fabric softener it cuts down on absorption. I use Ivory Snow or Woolite when I have it. I hand wash. Then throw in the washer on hot. The wallmart ones are fine after you wash them a couple of times. I use them to do the first step when I spray the Phoenix. Hit it with the disc brush and phoenix sprayed on the brusch. Then I spray the record with Phoenix and use their cloth it is a very fine micro. I will play the LP a bunch of times to see which process works better. What % alcohol?

I have the VPI 16.5. In my opinion best purchase I have made concerning my vinyl collection. It has made a tremendous improvement on playback. I cant help but also think its gonna make my stylus last twice as long not to mention what it does for my records. It has made several dead silent .

I still want to get a machine. Tried Larry's spin clean and I think it does a good job, but it's not a lazy man device. Still, having trouble convincing myself to spend $400-$700 on a machine for $1 records while I have a $25 turntable lol.

You're right Joe, but how do you justify anything with this obsession.....

So true. Also, unless you completely walk away, you end up spending more money by buying cheaper solutions, only to wind up getting the more expensive things anyway. Lol.

Always looking for a deal though, but the really good deals are getting harder to come by.

Not a bad price. The Gem Dandy or whatever it is called works. Pretty messy though. Changed the faucet in the kitchen. Can't hook to that faucet. Drilled holes in a tub so I can use it in the bathroom.
