Broken beyond repair but highly affable
Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band - Lick My Decals Off, Baby
(1970, Straight / Reprise) 2007 Rhino reissue

I just broke the shrink-wrap on this sealed copy and gave it a run through the VPI 16.5. tasty
When I was 12 HOT ROD always had an ad for a decal company featuring a woman covered from neck to ankles in NOTHING BUT their automotive stickers. That and the cover of My Sharona never saw my mother's eyes.

She got the Knack however...forbade me to buy their second LP.

That's SOL if you quit simply for forgetting where the seeds went...probably an omen.

Etta James - The Second Time Around
(1961, Argo) MONO

the record is VG with lots of visible light scratches but actually plays ok without much surface noise on the inner tracks. It's too bad this is a thin sounding recording and would much rather hear real R&B backing than the cheezy string arrangements but the nice & gritty Etta vocals are here. a recent 50cent pickup.
