Nine to go! I'm working to get your packages out by December 1st. I have one more foreign package so it has to go first up so that everyone receives theirs in time...

I did my best to keep costs down so it's a little no frills in packing but 110% NEATO.

Here are those whose packages were sent out so far:

Dingus
Avionic
Stuwee
Scorpion8
Oktyabr
Nakdoc
Elite-ist
Jbeckva
Gepetto
Mlucitt
Lazarus Short

Look for the rest in the next week or two, as I said.
Thanks to all who organized this and a Merry Christmas to all!

Hello Larry,
It is good to see that someone is generous with extra and good items. This is opposite of trying to sell something and then if it doesn't sell to have it hammered. If you know what I mean.
I don't need any tape as I have plenty but just wanted to let you know I am here and posting again.
My address is of no surprise as it is on the Internet- You are a good person, keep up the good work.

All the rest is packed and waiting to GO!

About half of you that are in on this will see them soon, probably before the end of next week, DON'T QUOTE ME...it's PARCEL POST except for two regular envelopes and one mailer that came in qualifying as first class postage rate. Those were for members that didn't need the whole package (no reel or cassette deck or neither).

The rest will be sent early next week.

We hope everyone enjoys them and Lee is getting the remaining over 50 cards to send to whomever so if you want a card, chime in!

It was a lot of work to do all this but I think the results were very worthwhile! Hope you do too!

So, are we doing the name exchange thing for Christmas this year? Or have I slept through that whole discussion? I want to participate...Let me draw Lee's name and I already have the package ready to send him...

You have a package coming with reel, or cassette or BOTH as I added the cassettes from my own stash and also a participatory element in that you are asked to use the heck out of it and write a review under the thread I will start this week in the tapes section. If you were following Larry's thread asking what tape decks you have (for a traveling tape) as well as turntables, I announced was an SGB agent (Santa's Good Boys)!

I sent one Type I and one Type II, chosen at random with not really much thought as to who has a better deck, no two the same brand and no real total crap as I want to know and also want a thread to help members choose tapes with. See, RESEARCH! I read that and the responses to my PMs to members and there you have it.

There is a custom made Christmas card (made by ME) with a slimline CD case full of 3 CD-Rs (two Christmas CDs and one WMV format video clip I made last year of about 45 minutes, Apple users, please...have a media player ready for that).

And YES, Mr. VanWinkle I could hear you snore from here :sign5:

It's official!

All the Christmas packages are sent. I'm going to start a thread in the tapes and taping? because I sent many of you two new cassettes in types I and II and asked you to use and review them for the sake of others who might want to buy some. This is your participatory part of the present.

Per Fast Forward's question-
The tape deck alignment can be checked pretty quick if I am given enough time to clear my bench. No sooner does one get fixed as another is put on the bench- I took three in today.
Dolby unit- I have some here but have not had time to clean up and check out. I also have dBx units as well.

It was a lot of work, Tom but it was worth it. I have sent mail and packages to three continents, and not just for this group!
