...I recorded the sacd version to a Phoenix metal tape without Dolby. Man, does this tape ever sound amazing!!! My go to recording for showing off my Onkyo TA-2090 cassette deck. Maybe we should try a SACD traveling tape?

I'm listening to a Dire Straits - Dire Straits. CD made from a 1/2 speed mastered LP recorded into digital at SACD 2.8MHz. I converted the file back to 16 bit 44K and then processed it lightly and delicately to get rid of pops clicks crackles etc. I then burnt it in QR audio mode at 1x speed. The result is mind boggling. It sounds better that the original orange swirl CD. Next stop is back to Analog on a 15ips reel to reel for some tape goodness. This will really be somethin' goooood.

....Playing these sacd discs on my Denon dvd player since my cheap Sony 5 disc changer won't read the SACD layer on hybrid discs anymore. Nothing brings out the sounds of thousands of screaming teenage girls like sacd!!!!

...A really great sounding reissue. Definately worth the money.

Yesterday, I picked up a few used CDs in Squamish. One of the CD jewel cases had two CDs where there should have been only one. Now, I would have looked foolish had she checked inside as I bought them. Tucked in with the Dave Matthews Band CD, was Radiohead's "OK Computer." Before now, I didn't have any Radiohead, but I sure like them, now.

thats funny and I do like radiohead. I once bought a new CD and case was empty. I'm glad the store believed me. Well, they could have thought I was full of it but I do a ton of business with them and they replaced without hesitation.

Joe: I think I'll look for more from Radiohead. Ever heard the group Spoon? I bought one of their CDs, used, too. Just trying to broaden my listening taste.
