Model ONE Build - S/N 0014

Whatever turns your crank is appropriate!! Whatever speakers you use, it seems more than any other component, they respond very well to clean.power and lots of it....i love em!!

Easier to stand the case on the side ,lid open to the right , grab a rack handle and a heatsink and slide it in....

I would be cautious supporting half the amp weight by the heat sinks. They are held in place by the output driver screws into the backplane PCB PEM nuts.

Probably not an issue if being very careful, but that is not a structural bolted joint in any form.

Correct, handle it by the chassis, not the heatsinks. The screws that hold the heatsinks on are all the screws that secure the output transistors in place that have been carefully torqued so as not to damage the sil-pad insulators

Same warning is true for PL400 and PL700 amps

Ok thanks.

Are there any specs on these yet?
Kinda what I was I looking for?

Probably the best kept ( unintentional) secret amp on the planet......but the word is getting out.
No ad dollars for that White Oak.guy.....not when there is serious engineering to be done...

Very clean board designs, but using green and blue wire for the rails and a white wire for ground is going to fry some brains. I'm reminded of a Jensen car amp that had a black +12 volt power wire. Smoked!
Any photo detectives out there can zoom in on the filter capacitors' voltage ratings? That will get you into the power output ballpark. That being said, with anything dynamic sounding, power levels really do not matter.
Speaking of dynamics, for the model 2, I'd suggest big inductors and little caps in the power supply. If you've ever heard Onkyo Integra M series amps you'll get why the inductors matter. (Or a tube amp with a B+ inductor).
