phase linear 400

There has been a lot of solar activity that I have been attributing to terrible reception around here. Lots of interference and dropouts.
 
that did not cross my mind....i guess i was worried more about the two major power producers within a short distance...
that does make sense...as i recall it works against ham signals as well...
so far the chokes have taken the noise out....still has momentary drops on occassion...
this too shall pass...lol

question....mr. joe et al...
sometimes ... i have noticed a slight ac hum in one of my wopls...that drive the mid bass 10" speakers......never thought much about it..not that bad...however, today it came to my attention...

my son in law was mixing...from his mac through the schiit dac...straight to hafler preamp...all cabled...when he finished up ...done....he disconnected usb cable from dac to mac ... ie no input...the hum was more noticable...when i switched the preamp to another input...this is running off aux input...the hum went away....and returned when set back to aux ...i turned off the wopl for 5 to 10 seconds ....hum did not return...
sure i have a ground loop somewhere...
ideas???

it says one kilometer east of the grammer school in san pedro of guayabo of bagaces in guanacaste province costa rica....
i am a bit south of the airport (45 minutes or so) in liberia costa rica....
been here since 2006......moved permanantly in 2007....

70 meters...from gravel road...
i have 81 acres with a gravel road in front...
not any full time neighbors within a km or so...

i love my privacy too!!!

can someone give me the specs on the leds???
voltage...size...etc

Gene they are T1 size LEDs. That is the only critical parameter. Knock yourself out

T1 is a standard size, you will find many options. I have done every color in the rainbow for Perry in times past.

I told you the voltage doesn't matter, the series 150 ohm resistor will compensate for small forward voltage differences in LEDs. Just not a 12V LED that has a built in limiting resistor.

I cant speak for anyone here but myself but I would not have ever believed anyone would have ever mentioned the word "rainbows" in the same sentence with Perry. I don't think it was a jab but I thought it was funny. Looks like someone else did too so who knows. Joe may have been being crafty again.
